Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE:LNT) announced its quarterly dividend of 45 cents per share, an increase of about 6% over its prior dividend in October of 42.5 cents. This dividend is payable on February 15, 2012, to shareowners of record on close of business January 31, 2012. Dividends on common stock have been paid for 265 consecutive quarters since 1946.
Shares are lower by about six tenths of a percent.
In other dividend news, Colgate Palmolive Company (NYSE:CL) maintained its quarterly dividend of 58 cents per share. Southern Company (NYSE:SO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 47.25 cents per share. Walgreen Company (NYSE:WAG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 22.5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Core Laboratories (NYSE:CLB) announced its quarterly dividend of 28 cents per share, an increase of about 12% over its prior dividend in October of 25 cents.
