Schlumberger Limited (NYSE:SLB) announced its quarterly dividend of 27.5 cents per share, an increase of about 10% over its prior dividend in November of 25 cents. The company said that fourther quarter earnings were higher than epxected, and remained optimistic for 2012, despite the threat of Europe's debt crisis impacting earnings.
Shares are higher by about seven tenths of a percent.
In other dividend news, Hewlett Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) maintained its quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share. Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:TXN) maintained its quarterly dividend of 17 cents per share. Covidien (NYSE:COV) maintained its quarterly dividend of 22.5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Dominion Resources Incorporated (NYSE:D) announced its quarterly dividend of 52.75 cents per share, an increase of about 7% over its prior dividend in November of 49.3 cents.
