This morning, the CME Group (NASDAQ:CME) declared its quarterly dividend of $2.23 per share, an increase of 59% over its prior dividend. With the regular quarterly dividend, investors will also receive the annual variable dividend for 2011 in the amount of $3.00.
On the news, shares of CME were higher, picking up 4.7% so far.
In other dividend news, Regency Centers (NYSE:REG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 46.25 cents per share. And Aqua America (NYSE:WTR) maintained its quarterly dividend of 16.5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST) announced its quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share, an increase of about 27% over its prior dividend. And JB Hunt (NASDAQ:JBHT) announced its quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share, an increase of about 8% over its November dividend.
