The Oil Services ETF (NYSE:OIH) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 3.7 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 951,000. Shares of OIH were up about 1.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Halliburton (NYSE:HAL), trading up about 1.3% with over 10 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Weatherford International (WFT), up about 1.6% on volume of over 7.0 million shares. Nabors Industries (NYSE:NBR) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 4.7% on the day, while Rowan Companies (RDC) is lagging other components of the Oil Services ETF, trading higher by about 0.4%.
