The KBW Bank Portfolio ETF (AMEX:KBWB) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 5.0 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 300,000. Shares of KBWB were off about 1.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), trading off about 1.5% with over 170.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Citigroup (NYSE:C), off about 3% on volume of over 29.3 million shares. State Str (NYSE:STT) is the component faring the best Wednesday, lower by about 0.7% on the day, while Regions Financial (NYSE:RF) is lagging other components of the KBW Bank Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 4.2%.
