Colgate Palmolive Company (NYSE:CL) announced its quarterly dividend of 62 cents per share, an increase of about 7% over its prior dividend in January of 58 cents. The Board declared that the second quarter dividend is to be paid on May 15, 2012 to shareholders of record as of April 24, 2012. On an annualized basis, the new dividend rate is $2.48 versus $2.32 per share previously.
Shares are higher by about one percent.
In other dividend news, Tyco International Limited (NYSE:TYC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share. National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE:NFG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 35.5 cents per share. Assisted Living Concepts (NYSE:ALC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (NYSE:CM) announced its quarterly dividend of 90 cents per share, an increase of about 2% over its prior dividend in December of 87.9 cents.
