US Bancorp (NYSE:USB) announced its quarterly dividend of 19.5 cents per share, an increase of about 56% over its prior dividend in December of 12.5 cents. The new dividend is $0.78 on an annualized basis and the quarterly common stock dividend of $0.195 per common share is payable on April 16, 2012, to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 30, 2012.
Shares are higher by about four tenths of a percent.
In other dividend news, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share. Philip Morris International Incorporated (NYSE:PM) maintained its quarterly dividend of 77 cents per share. Kraft Foods Incorporated (KFT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, JP Morgan Chase & Company (NYSE:JPM) announced its quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share, an increase of about 20% over its prior dividend in January of 25 cents.
