although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock,

presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a

purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two

noteworthy recent insider buys.

On Wednesday, Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ:ZION)'s Exec Vice President, George

Feiger, made a $154,000 buy of ZION, purchasing 8,000 shares at a cost of

$19.25 each. Investors can buy ZION at a price even lower than Feiger did,

with the stock trading as low as $18.40 in trading on Monday which is 4.4%

under Feiger's purchase price. Zions Bancorporation is trading off about

2.3% on the day Monday.

And also on Wednesday, President - Packaging Systems Lynn A. Brooks bought

$148,320 worth of TriMas Corp (NASDAQ:TRS), buying 6,000 shares at a cost of

$24.72 each. This buy marks the first one filed by Brooks in the past

twelve months. TriMas Corp is trading off about 0.5% on the day Monday.

Bargain hunters are able to snag TRS at a price even lower than Brooks did,

with the stock trading as low as $22.69 in trading on Monday -- that's 8.2%

under Brooks's purchase price.
