The Vanguard Mega Cap 300 Growth ETF (AMEX:MGK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 118,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 51,000. Shares of MGK were up about 0.6% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Ford Motor (NYSE:F), trading up about 2.5% with over 39.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), up about 1.3% on volume of over 38.2 million shares. Gap (NYSE:GPS) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 7.8% on the day, while Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Mega Cap 300 Growth ETF, trading lower by about 2.8%.
