Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Willbros Group Inc (NYSE:WG), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, Senior VP and General Counsel Peter W. Arbour bought 10,000 shares of WG, at a cost of $3.95 each, for a total investment of $39,500. Arbour was up about 12.7% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with WG trading as high as $4.45 in trading on Thursday. Willbros Group Inc is trading off about 3.5% on the day Thursday. This buy marks the first one filed by Arbour in the past twelve months.
And at Digital Cinema Destinations Corporation (NASDAQ:DCIN), there was insider buying on Monday, by Chief Financial Officer Brian D. Pflug who purchased 5,000 shares for a cost of $5.61 each, for a trade totaling $28,050. Digital Cinema Destinations Corporation is trading off about 0.7% on the day Thursday. Pflug was up about 9.8% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with DCIN trading as high as $6.16 at last check today.
