Investors are ringing in the new trading week digesting the news that Spain's economy has entered another recession.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for April 23, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by about four tenths of a percent and the Hang Seng was higher by 1.7.
The FTSE 100 was lower by about 0.74 percent, and the German DAX was lower by about 0.41 percent.
Some key data due to be released this week includes Construction Spending on Tuesday, factory orders on Wednesday, initial claims on Thursday, and the unemployment rate on Friday.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Arch Coal (NYSE:ACI) on Tuesday, Allstate (NYSE:ALL) on Wednesday, American International Group (NYSE:AIG) on Thursday, and Aon (NYSE:AON) as well as Buckeye Partners (NYSE:BPL) on Friday.
