Investors are ringing in the new trading week pushing stocks lower as they analyze a disappointing labor report that was issued on Friday.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for April 9, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by about 1.5 percent and the Hang Seng was lower by about 1 percent.
The FTSE 100 was higher by about 0.35% and the German DAX was lower by about 0.13%.
Some key data due to be released this week includes wholesale inventories on Tuesday, crude inventories on Wednesay, PPI on Thursday, and CPI on Friday.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Alcoa (NYSE:AA) on Tuesday, Richardson Electronics (NASDAQ:RELL) on Wednesday, Fastenal (NASDAQ:FAST) on Thursday, as well as JP Morgan (NYSE:JPM) and Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) on Friday.
