Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ:COST) announced its quarterly dividend of 27.5 cents per share, an increase of about 15% over its prior dividend in February of 24 cents. The dividend will be payable on June 8, 2012, to stockholders of record on May 25, 2012. Investors can expect a yield of about 1.3 percent based on the current stock price.
Shares are higher by about 1.6 percent.
In other dividend news, Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE:UNP) maintained its quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share. Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR) maintained its quarterly dividend of 2.5 cents per share. Capital One Financial Corporation (NYSE:COF) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Newell Rubbermaid Incorporated (NASDAQ:NWL) announced its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share, an increase of about 25% over its prior dividend in February of 8 cents.
