Legg Mason Incorporated (NYSE:LM) announced its quarterly dividend of 11 cents per share, an increase of about 38% over its prior dividend in March of 8 cents. The company reported fiscal fourth quarter net profit of $76.1 million, or 54 cents per share, versus $69 million, or 45 cents per share, in the same period last year.
Shares are lower by about six tenths of a percent.
In other dividend news, Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) maintained its quarterly dividend of 44 cents per share. Emerson Electric Company (NYSE:EMR) maintained its quarterly dividend of 40 cents per share. Time Warner Incorporated (NYSE:TWX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 26 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Ametek Incorporated New (NYSE:AME) announced its quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share, an increase of about 50% over its prior dividend in March of 6 cents. Trinity Industries Incorporated (NYSE:TRN) announced its quarterly dividend of 11 cents per share, an increase of about 22% over its prior dividend in April of 9 cents.
