In trading on Friday, precious metals shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 3.1%. Leading the group were shares of Golden Minerals (AMEX:AUMN), up about 14.4% and shares of Lake Shore Gold (AMEX:LSG) up about 9% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are apparel stores shares, up on the day by about 2.1% as a group, led by Brown Shoe (NYSE:BWS), trading up by about 19.2% and Pacific Sunwear (NASDAQ:PSUN), trading up by about 17.4% on Friday.
