The Vanguard Industrials ETF (NYSE:VIS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 95,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 46,000. Shares of VIS were up about 0.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were General Electric (NYSE:GE), trading trading flat with over 19.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Masco (NYSE:MAS), off about 0.4% on volume of over 5.6 million shares. Tecumseh Products (TECUA) is the component faring the best Tuesday, up by about 40.1% on the day, while American Science & Engineering (ASEI) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Industrials ETF, trading lower by about 21%.
