The first trading day of the week has investors fretting over a political impasse in Greece and an economic slowdown in China.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for May 14, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about two tenths of a percent, while the Hang Seng is off by 1.15%. The FTSE 100 was lower by about 2.1%, and the German DAX was lower by about 2.04%.
Some key data due to be released this week includes retail sales and CPI on Tuesday, housing starts on Wednesday, and initial claims on Thursday.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Lifeway Foods (NASDAQ:LWAY) on Tuesday, Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) on Wednesday, Aeropostale (ARO) on Thursday, and Brown Shoe (BWS) as well as Foot Locker (NYSE:FL) on Friday.
