The first trading day of the week has investors keeping a close eye on events in Greece and Spain.
Good morning, this is Sayoko Murase with the Week Ahead Market Report for May 28, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about three quarters of a percent, while the Hang Seng is higher by 1.35%. The FTSE 100 is higher by about 0.47%, and the German DAX is higher by 1.08%.
Some key data due to be released this week includes consumer confidence on Tuesday, pending home sales on Wednesday, GDP on Thursday, and auto sales on Friday.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Bio-Reference Laboratories (BRLI) on Tuesday, Booz Allen Hamilton Holding (NYSE:BAH) on Wednesday, China Nepstar Chain Drugstore (NPD) on Thursday, and Thermon Group Holdings (NYSE:THR) on Friday.
