Tri Continental Corporation (NYSE:TY) announced its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share, an increase of about 43% over its prior dividend in March of 10.5 cents. The ex-dividend date is June 15, 2012. The Corporation has paid dividends on its common stock for 68 consecutive years.
Shares are lower by about half a percent.
In other dividend news, Abbott Labs (NYSE:ABT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 51 cents per share. General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE:GD) maintained its quarterly dividend of 51 cents per share. Graco Incorporated (NYSE:GGG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 22.5 cents per share. Piedmont Natural Gas Incorporated (NYSE:PNY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Rockwell Automation Incorporated (NYSE:ROK) announced its quarterly dividend of 47 cents per share, an increase of about 11% over its prior dividend in May of 42.5 cents.
