General Mills Incorporated (NYSE:GIS) announced its quarterly dividend of 33 cents per share, an increase of about 8% over its prior dividend in April of 30.5 cents. The new quarterly dividend of 33 cents a share will be paid on August 1 to shareholders of record July 10.
Shares are lower by about 1.9 percent.
In other dividend news, Bristol Myers Squibb Company (NYSE:BMY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 34 cents per share. BB&T Corporation (NYSE:BBT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share. McCormick & Company Incorporated (NYSE:MKC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 31 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Duke Energy Corporation (NYSE:DUK) announced its quarterly dividend of 25.5 cents per share, an increase of about 2% over its prior dividend in May of 25 cents.
