The Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (NASDAQ:VXUS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 969,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 136,000. Shares of VXUS were up about 0.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Nokia (NYSE:NOK), trading off about 1.1% with over 26.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Alcatel-lucent (NYSE:ALU), down about 2.9% on volume of over 10.5 million shares. Potash Sask (NYSE:POT) is the component faring the best Tuesday, up by about 3.6% on the day, while Unicredito Italiano S P A (UNCFF) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Total International Stock ETF, trading lower by about 14.4%.
