The first trading day of the week has investors fretting over a slowing U.S. economy.
Good morning, this is Sayoko Murase with the Week Ahead Market Report for June 4, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by about 1.7 percent, while the Hang Seng was lower by about two percent. The FTSE 100 is even, and the German DAX is lower by about nine tenths of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from United Natural Foods (NASDAQ:UNFI) on Tuesday, ABM Industries (NYSE:ABM) on Wednesday, Cooper Companies (NYSE:COO) on Thursday, and Piedmont Natural Gas Company (NYSE:PNY) as well as Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) on Friday.
