The Uranium ETF (AMEX:URA) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 395,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 153,000. Shares of URA were up about 1.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Cameco (TSE:CCO.CA), trading up about 0.7% with over 479,000 shares changing hands so far this session, and Denison Mines (TSE:DML.CA), trading flat on volume of over 474,000 shares. Uranium Resources (NASDAQ:URRE) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 4.5% on the day, while Usec (NYSE:USU) is lagging other components of the Uranium ETF, trading lower by about 3.2%.
