The Fertilizers/Potash ETF (NYSE:SOIL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 50,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 28,000. Shares of SOIL were up about 1.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were The Mosaic (NYSE:MOS), trading down about 0.1% with over 883,000 shares changing hands so far this session, and Potash of Saskatchewan (TSE:POT.CA), off about 0.5% on volume of over 502,000 shares. Agrium (TSE:AGU.CA) is the component faring the best Wednesday, lower by about 0.1% on the day, while Terra Nitrogen Limited (NYSE:TNH) is lagging other components of the Fertilizers/Potash ETF, trading lower by about 0.9%.
