The first trading day of the week has investors fretting over newly released economic data in Asia that points to slowing global economic growth.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for July 9, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was about lower by about 1.37 percent, while the Hang Seng was lower by about 1.9 percent. The FTSE 100 is lower by 0.26 percent and the German DAX is higher by about a tenth of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Shaw Group (SHAW) and Voxx International (NASDAQ:VOXX) on Tuesday, ADRTAN (NASDAQ:ADTN) on Wednesday, Bank of Ozarks (NASDAQ:OZRK) on Thursday, and PDL BioPharma (NASDAQ:PDLI) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on wholesale inventories on Wednesday, export prices on Thursday, and PPI on Friday.
