The first trading day of the week has investors speculating about the outcome of Fed and ECB meetings that will happen this week.
Good morning, this is Sayoko Murase with the Week Ahead Market Report for July 30, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by eight tenths of a percent, while the Hang Seng was higher by about 1.6 percent. The FTSE 100 is higher by about six tenths of a percent and the German DAX is higher by about eight tenths of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ:ACHC) and Allstate (NYSE:ALL) on Tuesday, AGL Resources (GAS) on Wednesday, Bill Barrett (NYSE:BBG) on Thursday, and Sotheby's (NYSE:BID) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on personal income on Tuesday, construction spending on Wednesday, initial claims on Thursday, and hourly earnings on Friday.
