In trading on Monday, the Direxion S&P Latin America 40 DRRC Index Volatility Response Shares ETF (AMEX:VLAT) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Bancolombia (NYSE:CIB), off about 0.4% and shares of Fomento Economico Mexicano (NYSE:FMX), down about 0.5% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF (AMEX:XME), down about 2.7% in Monday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Monday were shares of Schnitzer Steel Industries (NASDAQ:SCHN), lower by about 9.8%, and shares of AK Steel Holding (NYSE:AKS), lower by about 4.2% on the day.
