The Fertilizers/Potash ETF (AMEX:SOIL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 168,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 33,000. Shares of SOIL were down about 1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were The Mosaic (NYSE:MOS), trading off about 0.8% with over 1.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Potash of Saskatchewan (TSE:POT.CA), down about 1% on volume of over 1.2 million shares. Terra Nitrogen Limited (NYSE:TNH) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 1% on the day, while The Scotts Miracle Gro (NYSE:SMG) is lagging other components of the Fertilizers/Potash ETF, trading lower by about 2.3%.
