In trading on Thursday, the Solar Energy ETF (AMEX:KWT) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 3.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR), up about 23% and shares of Str Holdings (NYSE:STRI), up about 5.6% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (AMEX:XOP), down about 2.3% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of World Fuel Services (NYSE:INT), lower by about 15.9%, and shares of Bill Barrett (NYSE:BBG), lower by about 13.3% on the day.
