After the bell on Tuesday, Southwest Gas (NYSE:SWX) declared its quarterly dividend of 29.5 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 2.7% going forward.
Shares of SWX were modestly higher on Wednesday, gaining 0.3% so far.
In other dividend news, FirstEnergy (NYSE:FE) maintained its quarterly dividend of 55 cents per share. Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LRY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 47.5 cents per share. And Entertainment Properties Trust (NYSE:EPR) maintained its quarterly dividend of 75 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ:FITB) announced its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share, an increase of about 25% over its prior dividend in June of 8 cents.
