Northwest Bancorp (NASDAQ:NWBI) announced that it earned $15.7 million during the third quarter, 6 percent lower than the same period last year. Earnings per share were 17 cents. Net interest income was lower by 1.5 percent from $67 million a year ago to $66 million.
Shares are lower by about a quarter of a percent.
Bank of Hawaii (NYSE:BOH) announced that it earned $41.2 million, or 92 cents per diluted share, during the third quarter, versus a profit of $43.3 million, or 92 cents per diluted share, during the same period last year. Loans and leases grew to $5.78 billion versus $5.35 billion in the same period laste year, and total deposits grew to $11.2 billion from $10 billion last year.
