Corning (NYSE:GLW) announced its quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share, an increase of about 20% over its prior dividend in August of 7.5 cents. The increase will result in Corning's dividends rising to $0.36 per share on an annual basis. The fourth-quarter dividend will be payable on December 14, 2012 to holders of record November 16, 2012.
Shares are about even in morning trading.
In other dividend news, PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE:PNC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 40 cents per share. CSX Corporation (NYSE:CSX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share. Tanger Factory Outlet Centers (NYSE:SKT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 21 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) announced a dividend of 25 cents per share, an increase of about 25% over its prior dividend in July of 20 cents.
