In trading on Friday, precious metals shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 1.1%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Richmont Mines (AMEX:RIC), off about 20.9% and shares of Entree Gold (AMEX:EGI) off about 4.3% on the day.
Also lagging the market Friday are education & training services shares, down on the day by about 0.8% as a group, led down by Education Management (NASDAQ:EDMC), trading lower by about 4.8% and New Oriental Education and Tech (NYSE:EDU), trading lower by about 2.5%.
