The Vanguard Industrials ETF (AMEX:VIS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 128,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 36,000. Shares of VIS were up about 0.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were General Electric (NYSE:GE), trading off about 0.4% with over 9.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), up about 0.6% on volume of over 1.8 million shares. Greenbrier Companies (NYSE:GBX) is the component faring the best Tuesday, higher by about 16% on the day, while Aecom Tech (NYSE:ACM) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Industrials ETF, trading lower by about 11.2%.
