The first trading day of the trading week will have investors keeping a close eye on political events in the U.S. to see if the President and the Congress will be able to negotiate the fiscal cliff being faced by the country.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for November 12, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by about nine tenths of a percent, while the Hang Seng was higher by about two tenths of a percent. The FTSE 100 was higher by about three tenths of a percent and the German DAX was also higher by about three tenths of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from TJX Companies (NYSE:TJX) on Tuesday, Tyco International (TYC) on Wednesday, Autodesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) on Thursday, and Citizens and Northern (NASDAQ:CZNC) as well as Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ:CBRL) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on producer prices on Wednesday, consumer prices on Thursday, and industrial production on Friday.
