The first trading day of the trading week will have investors keeping a close eye on political events in the Middle East as Israel moves closer to an all out war.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for November 19, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about 1.4 percent, the Hang Seng was higher by about half of one percent. The FTSE 100 was higher by about two tenths of a percent and the German DAX was also higher by about four tenths of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Brown Shoe on Tuesday, Deere (NYSE:DE) and Pandora (NYSE:P) on Wednesday, and First Savings Financial (NASDAQ:FSFG) and Genesco (GC) on Thursday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on housing starts on Tuesday, initial claims on Wednesday, and leading indicators on Thursday.
