The first trading day of the trading week will have investors analyzing retail sales data as the holiday shopping season kicks off.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for November 26, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about a quarter of a percent, the Hang Seng was higher by about a quarter of a percent. The FTSE 100 was lower by about half of one percent and the German DAX was lower by about four tenths of a percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Analog Devices (NASDAQ:ADI) on Tuesday, American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO) on Wednesday, Barnes and Noble (NYSE:BKS) on Thursday, and Cubic (NYSE:CUB) as well as United Natural Foods (NASDAQ:UNFI) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on durable orders on Tuesday, new home sales on Wednesday, and continuing claims on Thursday.
