Turning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Telecommunications Sector Index Fund (AMEX:IYZ), which shed 700,000 shares, or a 3.2% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of IYZ, in morning trading today AT&T Incorporated (NYSE:T) is down about 0.4%, and Verizon Communications Incorporated (NYSE:VZ) is lower by about 0.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the EGShares Emerging Markets Energy ETF (EMT), which lost 200,000 of its shares, for a whopping 22.2% decline in outstanding shares. Among the largest underlying components of EMT, in morning trading today Vale SA (NYSE:VALE) is up about 0.6%, and Gold Fields Ltd Adr (NYSE:GFI) is up by about 0.7%.
