The iShares Dow Jones U.S. Energy Sector Index Fund ETF (AMEX:IYE) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 535,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 308,000. Shares of IYE were up about 0.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM), trading trading flat with over 1.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK), down about 0.8% on volume of over 1.2 million shares. Weatherford International Limited (NYSE:WFT) is the component faring the best Monday, higher by about 2.1% on the day, while Comstock Resources (NYSE:CRK) is lagging other components of the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Energy Sector Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 1.9%.
