Pending Home Sales Up, ISM Index Higher Friday, December 28, 2:11 PM ET
The National Association of Realtors announced on Friday that the Pending Home Sales Index increased by 1.7 percent to 106.4, which was the highest level since April 2010. November was the third straight month of gains, and followed a 5 percent increase in October.
Separately, the Institute for Supply Management-Chicago business barometer increased to 51.6 in December from 50.4 in November, the second straight month of growth, indicating a rebound of new orders.
