Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Juniper Networks Inc (NYSE:JNPR), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Thursday, Director John M. Lawrie bought 16,665 shares of JNPR, at a cost of $18.00 each, for a total investment of $299,970. Juniper Networks Inc is trading up about 0.9% on the day Tuesday. This buy marks the first one filed by Lawrie in the past twelve months.
And on Friday, Director David Earle Roberson bought $167,280 worth of International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT), buying 12,000 shares at a cost of $13.94 a piece. This purchase marks the first one filed by Roberson in the past twelve months. International Game Technology is trading off about 0.7% on the day Tuesday. So far Roberson is in the green, up about 5.0% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $14.64.
