The first trading day of the trading week will have investors closely monitoring budget talks between the President and Congress.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for December 3, 2012.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about 0.13 percent, the Hang Seng was lower by about 1.2 percent. The FTSE 100 was higher by about a third of a percent and the German DAX was higher by about one percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Autozone (NYSE:AZO) on Tuesday, Finisar (FNSR) on Wednesday, and Layne Christensen (LAYN), Methode (NYSE:MEI), and Smithfield Foods (SFD) on Thursday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on construction spending on Monday, productivity on Wednesday, and consumer credit on Friday.
