As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, J&J Snack Foods (NASDAQ:JJSF)'s Director, Sidney R. Brown, made a $75,059 buy of JJSF, purchasing 1,175 shares at a cost of $63.88 each. Brown was up about 3.0% on the purchase at the high point of today's trading session, with JJSF trading as high as $65.77 at last check today. J&J Snack Foods Corp. is trading up about 0.7% on the day Friday.
And at Omeros (NASDAQ:OMER), there was insider buying on Thursday, by Director Peter A. Demopulos who purchased 9,345 shares for a cost of $5.42 each, for a total investment of $50,650. Omeros Corp is trading up about 4.9% on the day Friday. Demopulos was up about 9.2% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with OMER trading as high as $5.92 in trading on Friday.
