JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) announced that earnings for the fourth-quarter were $1.39 cents per share, beating estimates of $1.19 per share. Revenue increased by 10.2% year over year to $23.65 billion, beating estimates of $24.21 billion.
Shares are higher in early trading.
Last week, rival Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) announced that earnings for the fourth quarter increased by 24 percent due to increased leading and better revenue.
