The iShares MSCI Global Select Metals & Mining Producers Fund ETF (AMEX:PICK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 102,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 36,000. Shares of PICK were down about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Molycorp (NYSE:MCP), trading up about 4.3% with over 5.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Alcoa (NYSE:AA), off about 0.4% on volume of over 3.9 million shares. US Silica Holdings (NYSE:SLCA) is the component faring the best Monday, higher by about 7.6% on the day, while Stillwater Mining (NYSE:SWC) is lagging other components of the iShares MSCI Global Select Metals & Mining Producers Fund ETF, trading lower by about 1%.
