PriceSmart (NASDAQ:PSMT) announced that it earned $20 million, or 66 cents per share, for the most recent fiscal quarter, versus earnings $14 million, or 47 cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenue was $535.4 millon versus $477.5 million last year, while analysts expected $535.4 million.
Shares are higher by about 5.3 percent.
Tiffany (NYSE:TIF) said that it expects earnings for the fiscal year ending on January 31st to be near the low end of its previous forecast of $3.20 to $3.40 per share. Analysts expected the company to earn $3.29 per share. The company expects earnings growth in 2013 of six to nine percent, a conservative target due to economic uncertainty.
