Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) announced that it earned $4.06 billion, or $1.39 per share, versus $1.69 billion, or 57 cents per share, in the same period last year. Excluding items, the company earned $1.22 per share. Revenue increased by two percent to $22.18 billion.
Shares are higher in early trading.
Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced that it earned $669 million, or 72 cents per share, during the most recent fiscal quarter, down from $906 million, or 98 cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenue increased by three percent to $7.29 billion from $7.06 billion.
