The iShares S&P Global Consumer Discretionary Sector Index Fund ETF (NYSE:RXI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 125,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 40,000. Shares of RXI were up about 0.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Ford Motor (NYSE:F), trading up about 2.7% with over 48.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Family Dollar Stores (FDO), down about 11.6% on volume of over 8.0 million shares. Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST) is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 6.6% on the day.
