Investors are kicking off the new trading week that will bring a plethora of earnings announcements.
Good morning, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for January 28, 2013.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by about 0.94 percent and the Hang Seng was higher by about 0.39 percent. The FTSE 100 was about higher by about 0.14 percent and the German DAX was higher by about .08 percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Ace Limited (NYSE:ACE) on Tuesday, Capstead Mortgage (NYSE:CMO) on Wednesday, Alliance Data Systems (NYSE:ADS) on Thursday, and Aon (NYSE:AON) as well as Chevron (NYSE:CVX) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on consumer confidence on Tuesday, GDP on Wednesday, personal spending on Thursday, and auto sales on Friday.
