It was a light trading day on Wall Street as investors took a bit of a break after last week's rally.
In earnings news, Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (BWP) met profit expectations as the oil and gas company reported a 26 percent increase in fourth quarter earnings.
Shares of Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) are trading lower today after executive chairman Eric Schmidt announced he will sell 3.2 million shares, which is roughly a 42 percent stake in the company.
On the M&A front, US Airways (LCC) and AMR (NYSE:AMR), parent company American Airlines are reportedly close to announcing a merger that would create the nation's biggest airline. The deal is worth 11 billion dollars.
